LSO SEEKS BOX OFFICE MANAGER
Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra seeks full-time Box Office Manager. Responsibilities include processing ticket orders, managing office information systems and database, and coordinating the operations of LSO’s office, box office, volunteer program, and front-of-house operations at events. S/he also maintains patron and donor databases, manages production of lists for all mailings, and generates reports needed by the staff and board of directors. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and will possess the ability to work independently and in a team setting, and will have a strong focus on customer service, excellent communication, and interpersonal and computer skills. YOUNG PEOPLE'S CONCERTS
LSO's annual Young People's Concerts are orchestra programs in which 4,000 fourth and fifth graders attend a one-hour concert at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln. This season's YPCs are on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 10 AM and 1 PM. LSO will perform "Lemony Snicket," best known from the popular Unfortunate Events series of children's books. If you're a teacher and are bringing your students, check out the lesson plans below, which were created by our Teacher's Advisory Committee.
